The Issue
The customer needed to know about the operation of the sliding entrance doors of the premises in connection with their maintenance. After a certain number of door cycles, certain service interventions, such as lubrication of parts or replacement of components, are required. Since doors from different suppliers are used in different plants, a universal solution had to be developed.
Servis dveří je nutný provést buďto na základě měření motohodin nebo v případě, že dojde k závadě. Proto bylo součástí požadavku zákazníka, aby řešení bylo schopné měřit i teplotu motoru a převodovky dveří, a to pro případ, že dojde k poruše, kterou může být například i banální přítomnost nečistoty. Pokud k znečištění dojde, motor překonává větší odpor, a to má za následek přehřátí motoru a jeho kompletní zničení. Tato situace má bezprostřední vliv na kvalitu poskytovaných služeb, lze jí však předcházet prostřednictvím preventivní údržby, která slouží k předvídání potenciálních problémů.
The Solution
For the solution, a product developed by us was used, which obtains information from each door, and the ASPERIOT: UC100 device was used for data transmission.
The advantage of the project is that it solves two problems at once. The solution is primarily designed for preventive maintenance and servicing of doors. The secondary use of the equipment is data needed for marketing purposes. The device provides information on the number of times the door is opened and closed, and also measures footfall to the premises by detecting the presence of visitors' mobile phones. Based on the data obtained, daily, weekly and monthly traffic of the establishment can be analysed and thus the daily operation of the establishment or marketing events can be optimised.
